It's been a wee while since I painted my favourite portrait subject, but here he is again, this time as Private Kelly in the highly enjoyable Kelly's Heroes from 1970. As ever, painting this guy was a whole load of fun.
I'll have a follow-up post very soon where you can watch a short time-lapse video of me painting Kelly. Nothing high tech I hasten to add - just a web cam and a homemade rig, so picture quality won't be fantastic, but hopefully enough folks will find it interesting to have made it worthwhile. It was my first attempt at filming one of my paintings and I hope to add more soon.
