This is the final painting I did recently to complete a series of portraits of four brothers from the Carlisle family in Ireland, all of them artists in their own right. Lindsay Carlisle, depicted here, is a craftsman who is a talented stick carver. If I had to pick a favourite of the four I'd probably choose this one. I like the colour and the extra bit of crispness and detail, as well as natural, relaxed pose of the sitter.
