October hasn't been the most productive of months for me painting-wise. Too much 'other stuff' going on (and none of it good), but I should be getting back into the swing of things now.

I wasn't sure what to call this one. I had thought of something like 'Farewell to summer', since the clocks went back today and summer time officially ended, but as I was painting it the blue and white of the boy's shorts kept making me think of the the Soltaire. Maybe there's some sort of symbolism in the pebbles that the boy is carrying as well. Stones of destiny perhaps? Whatever, I ended up feeling a touch patriotic, hence the title.
