This is another recent portrait commission. I always enjoy painting portraits from a three-quarters or profile view. I think it makes for a more natural looking study of a person, partly because the sitter is never usually looking at the viewer.
I liked the palette in this one too - a nice mix of browns and oranges that seemed to complement the skin tones.
