I've been busy of late with several more portrait commissions. Here's the first of them that I'm able to post - a gentleman from County Mayo in Ireland. I applied the oil paint quite thinly on this one, almost in watercolour-like washes at times. Sometimes it's good to vary your approach to a painting and try new techniques. It keeps it interesting and helps develop your creative skills I think.
