One of the things I was working on this week was a gypsy head tattoo design. These are some early digital sketches I came up with. The idea is for it to be a collaborative effort, with me providing the line art and the tattoo artist deciding how he/she wants to render and colour it. The final artwork will probably be much more stylized, but these initial tonal studies help visualise various concepts and explore different angles, hair and costume etc. If and when the project makes it to the next stage, I'll follow up with another post showing the final line work.
