You wait months for a blog post and then two come along in one day...
This month's issue of ImagineFX had some very useful reference photos of a horse and rider, which gave me the spark to create this picture. It's done mostly in Painter with a bit of tweaking done in Photoshop Elements to the colour and contrast etc. I was mostly happy with it - mainly the horse and the landscape. The rider probably needs some more design thought put into him though, so I might return to it one day with fresh eyes.
